Liveworm were asked to develop a new logo design for the Queensland Symphony Orchestra to coincide with a rename of the organisation and a renewed push for innovation, attracting new audiences, and developing high quality performances. The identity had to be fresh, modern, and dynamic yet still appeal to it’s more traditional patrons.
The idea for the design was generated by student Sam Lowth on a visit to a Queensland Orchestra performance at QPAC. She noticed the interesting seating arrangement used and later discovered the format is replicated in all orchestras and has been so for 500 years. Combining this imagery with the vibrancy and energy of the iconic Queensland sun, the new logo for Queensland Symphony Orchestra was complete. The logo design was incorporated into a new brand identity designed by the Orchestra’s internal design and marketing team.
