Project background
Performed at the Queensland Conservatorium Theatre, the Puccini Double Bill featured two popular operas by Italian composer Giacomo Puccini: Gianni Schicchi and Suor Angelica (Sister Angelica).
As this production was a part of Brisbane Festival, Liveworm were engaged to create a youthful and contemporary visual design to attract casual viewers who may have never attended an opera previously.
Design outcome
The design by Sherry Singhatchai uses a clever pun of double portraits and contrasting colours to represent the two parts of the opera. Bold and energetic typography demands attention, as well as capturing the essence of opera’s dramatic and powerful emotions.
Liveworm produced a range of promotional collateral for the performances, including posters, social media graphics, eDM banners, and a digital catalogue.
