QCAAR (Queensland College of Art Augmented Reality) provides Queensland College of Art, Griffith University students a platform to showcase their work in augmented reality. After downloading the QCAAR app viewers can scan special codes to unlock an animated mural.
The first installation of this project launched at the 2019 Bleach* Festival on the Gold Coast.
Expressive letterforms for the mural were created by students participating in our South Bank and Gold Coast studios. The app was developed in collaboration with Sophie Reid-Singer, a PhD candidate investigating notions of disability in the public sphere through visual art encounters with technology.
