Substation 33 is part of YFS, a non-profit organisation in Logan City, Queensland. Substation 33 serves two purposes in this community: recycling and repurposing e-waste into innovative electronic product, and providing support, opportunity, and experience for those who have struggled with employment.

Working with Griffith Review and the Policy Innovation Hub, Liveworm assisted with the creation of the interactive multimedia story From The Ground Up: Turning e-Waste into Opportunity highlighting the great work of Substation 33.

Inspired by the no-nonsense but ingenious nature of Substation 33 products, a collection of animated GIF typographic features where created by Liveworm students Rodney Srun and Emily Fryer.
